The museum is located next to the harbour and was originally the shore station for the lighthouse and was built by Robert Stevenson. Displays in the museum tell the story of the lighthouse keepers and their families as well as the fishing and textile industries around Arbroath. The museum also offers a shop which is located on the first floor of the building. Please note that a loop system is available but access to the museum for wheelchair users is difficult. Open all year: Monday to Saturday 10.00am - 5.00pm Sundays 2.00pm - 5.00pm July/August. Closed 25th - 26th December and 1st - 2nd January. Entrance is free. |
