The inns are directly across from the Maryland State Capitol and the eateries, art galleries, boutiques and 18th century homes on Main Street. Vacationers can charter a boat or yacht on the waterfront at the end of Main Street, one half mile from the inn, or enjoy a picturesque sunset. Additional sites within one mile include St. Anne's Church, Hammond Harwood House, William Paca House and Garden, Saint John's College and the U.S. Naval Academy. The Maryland Inn, the Governor Calvert House and the Robert Johnson House comprise the Historic Inns of Annapolis, once home to Declaration of Independence signers, governors and lords. True to the name, these inns date as far back as the year 1727. Original and reproduction antiques accent each inn and together they provide a glimpse into the beginning times of the United States.
