[tinna, 16/06/2011] Me and my boyfriend stayed in Mithat hotel in 2007, when we were travelling from South of Turkey to Istambul. Location of the hotel is ideal, as it is easily reached by public transport and thus you have good public transport contections to all parts of the city. Rooms were clean, employees really helpful, breakfast was simple. Additional plus are really cheap prices. We would definitely stay there again.
[fizzytom, 03/07/2010] In modern Turkey culture and pride revolve around one man: Kemal Mustafa Ataturk. He was the founder of the Turkish Republic, having proved himself during the First World War as a commander of the Turkish armies during the Gallipoli campaign. All Turkish towns and cities have a statue of Ataturk, all schools have a bust of him by the entrance, as do all army barracks, police stations and other civic buildings.
Nowhere is Ataturk more celebrated than in Ankara, the city chosen by the great man to replace Istanbul and become the capital of the Republic of Turkey. Until then Ankara was a rath

[fizzytom, 01/07/2010] Most budget travellers looking for somewhere to stay in Ankara end up in the Ulus district which is not a bad thing as you are close to the city’s main attractions; however, these hotels are usually fairly basic. The Ulus district is the northern part of the heart of Ankara and is the bazaar district, in contrast with Kizilay and Kavaklidere which are the districts of ‘new Ankara’. If you want a traditional Turkish character, Ulus is the area to go to.

[nielskroner, 13/12/2009] I booked my stay at the Farabi and was looking forward to a nice stay for a night. When I arrived, the hotel didn't have my reservation. When I showed them their written confirmation they blamed the booking site for the error and send me away. Later they admitted responsibility for their mistake but still refused to compensate me for another taxi trip to another, more expensive hotel. I'm spending about 50 nights a year in hotels incl. many in Turkey and have never experience such liars. Avoid at any cost.
[Bruijnjuffie, 16/08/2009] The hotel is a bit more than that radiates luxury it offers. The hotel has a pool whose music can be heard all day in your hotel room. Hard house music.
The hotel itself said to have a 50-meter bath. But, if you want to swim in the bath, you pay for the pool entrance. And it costs about 12 each day.
The hotel has an indoor pool, but you can only separate swimming. So you can not swim with your partner.
The food was very extensive, but not hot and it looked from fat. The glass smells like a dog. It was a whole stale while a 5 star hotel should emit.
