[1krispy1, 05/01/2009] The second day of our adventure in California was to be spending in California Adventure. This is an expansion theme park of the Disney experience. In our first day in Disneyland my girlfriend and I spent around 11 hours in the park and there was still more we could have enjoyed. We were however on a time schedule and had dedicated the second day to California Adventure so off we set.
I am not a big fan of amusement park type rides. Roller coasters, Ferris wheels that type of thing are not generally what I enjoy. A big section of the park is dedicated to these types of adventures along with

[1krispy1, 30/12/2008] The first reason for going to California on this trip in the first place was to see Disneyland. I have never been and my girlfriend has been a few times to both Disneyland and to Disneyworld. It was good to have someone that had been previously as she knew the ropes as it were.

We left Denver on the 19th. After for several hours (we had a short layover in Las Vegas) we got our car rental and drove the short distance to the Super 8 Motel near the Disneyland Convention Center.

The California Adventure area is smaller than the original one, but no doubt it will expand with time. Like all the other Disneyland parks, this one is sectioned into different areas. These areas are (in alphabetical order):
- Bug's Land - much the most childish of all the areas, this one has the type of rides that the very youngest of visitors can enjoy.

I grew up on Disney's movies and even now they always amuse me in the same way. Therefore, when I've got the opportunity to visit the first and the original Disneyland in the world, it was a chance that could not be missed. It was in 1991, at the end of student exchange visiting program, when we were going back home from San Francisco (divided in smaller groups), and we had only 2 days to visit LA. Since my friends (and me) were all above 21, one of them was strongly resisting, refusing to "waste time on childish business", but as he was outvoted, he had to come along, with lots of grumbling
