Very helpful family, which gives a B&B stay just that little bit extra. In the small private garden to the room, you will be surprised of the tranquility.... and if you want, you are right back in the buzzling city centre. But maybe you just want to stay in the room...
Let's keep this address a well kept secret, ok ;)

[gonzalo1, 30/12/2011] I stayed at The Toren in my last visit to Amsterdam and I was impressed! Very comfortable room, the service was excellent and very warm, the location is perfect both for turism or business and breakfast is very complete.
I will go to this hotel in my next visits to Amsterdam for sure again, without doubt.

[MargotSA, 27/12/2011] I stayed at Hotel Sebastians in June 2011 and will most definitely return should I visit Amsterdam again in the future. The location of the hotel is ideal and in perfect walking distance of all the major sights and very close to Central Station. Our room was lovely and very comfortable and overall the hotel is beautifully decorated with a warm ambience. What especially made a lasting impression on me was the service we received - the staff were warm and friendly and very eager to answer all our enquiries and provided very insightful advice on Amsterdam as well as even lending us umbrellas! The location is perfect: really nice quiet district of Amsterdam with the walking distance to all main attractions. The rooms are just wonderful with outstanding breakfasts. Hotel's staff was more than welcoming and lovely.

The rates are in the average of other place in the centruum but :
The design is much more sympathic
the rooms biggers
The cleanness is perfect
The employees very kind and professional
A real lounge open at night in the hotel
cofee machine in the room, iPhone charger, radio machine etc..

hotel rooms are up to standard for price, staff friendly.

[jazzbabz, 03/10/2011] I stayed at this hotel during the recent IBC. My room was ready before 14h00. I'm sure the staff saw that after 11 hrs flight I was tired and sweaty. They were very friendly and helpful, and I really have to mention the night sstaff(vincent_ from brazil) was excellent from giving me tram tickets to organizing an itenary for me to follow so I could see something of amsterdam while working. The breakfast was excellent especiallyand the poffertjies and the brealfast staff was cordial and friendly. From the overworked porter / barman, to the cleaners and the front of house staff (edward and vincent(

[peter24, 29/09/2011] We love the Netherlands, We love Amsterdam. We love the A-train Hotel. This is our 5th visit and it will not be our last. The hotel staff are so very friendly. It is very clean and although the rooms are not very big, they are perfectly adequate and comfortable. We are both in our 70's

This was a fantastic hotel, the apartment was clean, quirky and charming with good facilities and a great play area in the room for my children. The location of the hotel is fantastic especially for the train station and any of the many boats trips you can experience as we did.
Breakfast was served in a fun, train themed environment and there was plenty for everyone, the staff were all extremely friendly.

[jk48au, 18/08/2011] We stayed for 2 nights at the A train hotel, and found it to be very centrally based, not far from any of the sights in Amsterdam. Also a tram stop not far away. The whole hotel is based on the owners love of trains, and although our room was a little small, it was comfortable and clean, and the staff were always willing to help with advice or anything you might have needed. Would certainly recommend it to someone needing clean accommodation at a reasonable price in Amsterdam
[bondy007, 14/08/2011] Wow, from the second I stepped into this impressive old Orphanage-Monastery turned Hotel; I knew my stay was going to be something special. the hotel is situated on S- GRAVESANDESTRAAT 51 and is about a 10 min bike ride or tram ride back to Rembrandt Plain but it is worth it. I have been to Amsterdam 6 times and always stayed on the Singel Canal, but decided to try something a little different. If you are traveling to Amsterdam I strongly suggest having a look at this place on line and decide if it is for you. I stayed in a loft apartment and was in seventh heaven. the staff were friendly

[Jobina, 25/06/2011] Stylish, cosy place with 5 star furnishings and service. Good location near museums and vondelpark and great restaurant suggestions nearby. I stayed at the Rembrant Suite with my two young kids and the extra bed provided for them was so luxurious!

Well run hotel with good clean rooms and a unique breakfast lounge. Hot and cold drinks available all day. Charming service with a smile at reception.

We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it, based on the other guests there at the time, for couples or families looking for a peaceful stay.

Already upon entering you can see that this place is something special. There is no big flashy sign crying out "Hotel", the entrance is very discrete and we felt at home instantly - what with the flowers, the thick carpet muffling any sound, and the warm welcome!
The suite was stunning. The former glory of the rooms has been entirely restored. The floor, ceiling, beds, fabrics, (real!) flower bouquets, the (gas) chimney, the huge windows and the choice of furniture are simply
