The city which was originally called 'The dam on the Amstel river' , and was later named 'Amsterdam' by the local people.This 1-star hotel is situated on one of the most picturesque canals in Amsterdam. In the same area where Rembrandt , one of Hollands most famous artists , once lived. Whom was known on a summers afternoon to sit , and paint some of his master-pieces on the very canal on which the hotel stands. The hotel has since been restored , recapturing the original charm and character of days long gone.The hotel rooms are comfortable and warmly refurbished with a private bath / shower and toilet. To serve the purpose of businessmen as well as tourists , the rooms are equipped with a TV , telephone , mini-bar , safe and hairdryer.
