WE had an excellent tay in the moevenpick, great room overlooking the city and harbor. The staff was very friendly and we had free internet in the whole hotel. Good breakfat and dinner, Really good value for money, walking distance central station, and city center. We used the tram in front of the hotel.
Good tip : ask concierge to arrange musea, and dinners, excellent advise. Also we had dinner next door at Restaurant Fifteen, from Jamie Oliver.
For Amsterdam, best choice so far.
