The hotel was to a very good standard, and the location was perfect and much nicer than I had imagined. We were pleasantly surprised by the very, very friendly and helpful staff. Our rooms were all on the ground floor and very adequate for the price paid, and the standard of cleanliness was top rate. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with sufficient choice to suit every taste, and (a first in my experience of hotel catering) perfect boiled eggs and really fresh orange juice. Of course, the weather really helped the success of our weekend too, and sitting at the Ledise square cafes until the early hours of the morning was an unexpected bonus. But the heatwave did keep us from exploring many of the museums and art galleries, some of which are very close to the hotel. The flea market was also a source of entertainment. All in all, Amsterdam has made a great first impression (with lots still to see) and the Apple Inn Hotel made a great base from which to explore it. I really can recommend this hotel!
