[trivago traveller, 12/02/2013] This hotel was excellently situated. Within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Excellent restaurants nearby. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Catered for a party of 27 people, and nobody had a bad word to say about the staff, the hotel and the location! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to any friends or family.
[trivago traveller, 02/02/2013] I stayed in room 401 in Jan 2013. Quite a small Double, but with excellent shower.
Overlooked the main road, canal and towards the central station, which I thought would be noisy but wasn't (with the window shut).
Very convenient for the central station; just walk out of the station, cross the canal, and it's to the right (near an apple iStore).
Basic continental breakfast selection in the railway themed dining area (never seen so much train memorabilia!).
Reception staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful.
Only slight downside was they charge 7.50euro a day for WiFi, but did do me 3 da

trivago traveller, 23/09/2012] We stayed here for a week in September 2012 - SO glad we found it. The hotel is perfectly situated for plunging into the heart of Amsterdam. Staff are relaxed and friendly and very welcoming, happy to help but also happy to leave you to your own devices. However late we came in, there was always someone to welcome us at reception. The buffet style breakfast was great, there's a choice of cereals, different breads, jams and spreads, a large toaster, a selection of cheeses and cold meats as well as hard-boiled eggs, fruit juice and a choice of teas or coffee - and you can always come back for mo

annegaelicplayerscom, 10/03/2012] We are just back from a 3 night stay at A-Train Hotel. The hotel is across from Central Station which is about 10-15 minutes train journey from the Airport. The train costs 3.80 each single trip. Some of ticket machines use Credit Cards only, others take coins. Don't get a return ticket unless you use it on the same day. The staff in the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast is good. Two different types of cheeses, ham, eggs, Cereals, juices and a few different types of bread and a toaster. The bedrooms are absolutely tiny. Two very sma

[trivago traveller, 29/09/2011] We love the Netherlands, We love Amsterdam. We love the A-train Hotel. This is our 5th visit and it will not be our last. The hotel staff are so very friendly. It is very clean and although the rooms are not very big, they are perfectly adequate and comfortable. We are both in our 70's
[trivago traveller, 20/09/2011] We have just come back from a family weekend in Amsterdam and stayed at the A Train hotel in the family apartment.
This was a fantastic hotel, the apartment was clean, quirky and charming with good facilities and a great play area in the room for my children. The location of the hotel is fantastic especially for the train station and any of the many boats trips you can experience as we did.
Breakfast was served in a fun, train themed environment and there was plenty for everyone, the staff were all extremely friendly.
I could not recommend this hotel highly enough and look forward to

[trivago traveller, 27/08/2011] Couldn't fault anything about the hotel, location, staff, rooms, breakfast it was all first class excellent 3 day stay one train we hope to catch again.
[trivago traveller, 18/08/2011] We stayed for 2 nights at the A train hotel, and found it to be very centrally based, not far from any of the sights in Amsterdam. Also a tram stop not far away. The whole hotel is based on the owners love of trains, and although our room was a little small, it was comfortable and clean, and the staff were always willing to help with advice or anything you might have needed. Would certainly recommend it to someone needing clean accommodation at a reasonable price in Amsterdam
[trivago traveller, 25/07/2011] Excellent location, just opposite the Amsterdam Centraal Train Station. Centrally located to popular tourist destinations and city 'attractions'. English speaking staff, well maintained and well run hotel. Highly recommended for short weekend breaks.
[Petesy, 28/03/2011] Location could not be better- Albert Hein supermarket next door -Karpershoek bar 2 doors down - Centraal Station across the road.
Well run hotel with good clean rooms and a unique breakfast lounge. Hot and cold drinks available all day. Charming service with a smile at reception.
Will stay there again
[trivago traveller, 18/03/2011] The hotel was great! Staff were friendly, polite and very helpful at every point of our stay. The location is perfect for reaching everywhere. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it, based on the other guests there at the time, for couples or families looking for a peaceful stay.
[trivago traveller, 03/03/2011] Very impressed with the hotel. Nice to find a room that took all five of us (wife, three daughters and myself). We had the apartment which was clean, warm and spacious and was on two levels. Had a small kitchen area with fridge and microwave. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good, you must try the raisin bread toasted!!. Ideal location opposite Centraal station. Would definately go back without hesitation. Good value too!!
