The author says that Queens Day is "something special" and mentions the "Dam square" as the location where the shows took place. We get to know that one could find "street vendors and street entertainers round every corner". Round the Van Gogh Museum were a "number of stages" set up for musicians, which he really enjoyed because of his "love for dance tunes". The music continued from 5pm until early next morning, "blasting wall to wall and corner to corner."
