Detailed review by MarkinAmman
I don't know whether I went to the same restaurant as some of my fellow reviewers. All I can say is don't believe the hype!
The quality of food is run-of-the-mill AT BEST, at worst it was clumsy, lazy (Fungi Saltiti) and genuinely unpleasant (an incredbly cloying creme brulee).
I would suggest to anyone who is thinking of going here not to bother unless they want to be ripped off for eating distinctly average cuisine.
I realise that Amman is not Paris or London but to me a meal to the tune of JD100 (c.USD150) for 2 should be memorable for all the right reasons, the only reason I would remember last night would be for the amount I felt cheated on walking out of the door, so cheated in fact that I still wold have been dissappointed if the bill was half what it was.
This is a real shame because the restaurant itself is well appointed, very elegant inside and the waiters were pleasant - I would suggest to them to appoint a competant chef!
To anyone reading any of the sickeningly gushy reviews below I would suggest that Romero's obviously slick marketing machine has been envolved and to ignore them at all costs.
