The Eltermere was built in 1756 and overlooks Lake Elterwater an area of fantastic natural beauty at the foot of the Langdale Valley. Some of the very best walking is from our very doorstep, gentle or challenging, including the Langdale Pikes, take your pick! Within a few minutes walk is the Langdale Country Leisure Club, with Swimming Pool, Gym, Squash and Beauty Salon. We can, upon request, obtain a Free Leisure Pass, please bring your own towels. Please note there is a MINIMUM STAY of 2 NIGHTS AT ALL TIMES. THE HOTEL IS NON-SMOKING THROUGHOUT. Last Check-in time is 9.30pm. The hotel has its own Restaurant serving dinner between 7.00pm and 9.00pm with a menu which changes daily, using only the finest of fresh ingredients, available at a price of only £25.00 per person. Very interesting selection of wines.We also have a fantastic Bar open for all beers and wines, morning coffee, exciting bar meals and afternoon tea. We are able to advise you on all the best walks and guide you to many places of interest. We have masses of parking and you are more than welcome to arrive at midday and leave your car and go for a walk! Enjoy your stay!
