James Forrester (1809-1863) built the house as residence when visiting the company's vineyards. It has been well converted into a comfortable and ideal location for visitors to the Vila Real area of the Douro wine region. The Pousada is to be found to the in the hills to the east of Vila Real in the Transmontana region. It has twenty one rooms, bar and restaurant.
