[more]GeneralUpon entering the Hospedería Conventual de Alcantara is like taking a step back in time towards the end of the 15th century in Extremadura. Originally, the St. Bartholomew Convent, the order of San Francisco where in 1946 installed a flour factory. Today, the hotel represents a museum dedicated to the factory with the restoration process maintaining its original features, but combining modern amenities. The old garden has been transformed into a pleasant open space where guests can sit and read surrounded by trees or a swim in the pool. The hotel also has restaurant, cafeteria with terrace, meeting room, hall and parking.
