[TanaN, 20/09/2011] Stayed in this hotel during my travels through Algarve region. We choose this one because of the perfect location. Everything is nearby there - bars and shops within 100 m from front door. Fantastic Oura beach with rocky cliffs about 60 meters from the hotel. Bus stop of local transport is at the main street near the hotel, bus stop of express eva buses is about 700 meters away.
Do your best to get the rooms in higher floor. Well, there is no elevator but the view from the terrace is priceless.
All the apartments are equip with kitchen, so you will find everything you need for preparing the me

[carapepi, 07/06/2011] I have just come back from Bayside Salgados (June 2011)
The cooking facilities were a joke, there was no kettle and we had a 2 ring electric hob with only one ring working. We asked to have this replaced and it was only given a temporary fix which resulted in a powercut later in the week. As it was after six we had to wait until the following day for it to be sorted, which it never was. The powercut also meant we had no fridge and had to take our food to reception to put in the fridges and freezers there.
There was no toaster either unless you wanted to hire one for 1 euro a day.

[emmalou22, 05/06/2011] Fantastic hotel, are going again in 3 weeks for the 4th time, its such a lovely hotel, all inclusive is fab, and it is in a great location, would highly reccomend to anyone
[jonty, 26/04/2011] Have stayed here several times, the apartment was right at the front of the complex with reception, pools and tennis courts behind. It was a modernised apartemnt with a bed setee and twin beds in the bedroom, very clean and comfortable. The pool area is lovely with two big pools, grass area's a restaraunt and a bar. I played tennis and even the courts had a fantastic sea view ! The views from the apartment were stunning and it was only 10 minutes walk to Albufeira square and lovely beach. The town square is fabulous, a lovely blend of centuries old churches and modern buildings, very cosmopol

[shamey, 12/03/2011] This is quite possibly the best and most impressive hotel I have stayed in. It is very clean and modern with very friendly and helpful staff, nothing seems to be to much trouble.
They even looked after my luggage until Direct Baggage had it collected and delivered back to me in England.
My only criticism is to change the Lunch and Evening buffets around as it would have been nice to be given more of a choice but overall a great experience which I hope to repeat soon.
[plumbago62, 12/01/2011] The apartment we stayed in was secluded and quiet which was what we were looking for but there were other apartments situated closer to the pool, cafe and reception. Breakfasts and light meals were available from morning till night. There was internet available in the pool area for a small fee charged by per 15mins minimum. Transport was provided into town by a shuttle service run by the hotel booked through reception. The rooms were clean and the sheets changed on a regular basis. There were facilities to make tea, coffee and light meals in the rooms. We enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

[nowretired, 11/01/2011] Stayed here for a week in September 2010, Hotel looking a bit tired, as were the bedrooms, although they were very big. Buffet meals were short on choice, but edible. Position at top of the Strip a bit out of things.
[saraoli, 26/11/2010] nice beach, good food, nice gardens
[saraoli, 26/11/2010] very nice for families
[Kost, 10/02/2010] excellent place and services
[Angel5, 08/08/2009] Just returned from these privately owned apartments. I booked through holidaylets. no. PA9028
The owner demands a £250 breakage deposit 8 weeks prior to your booking and this is cashed immediately, very unusual, as in all my past experience with private rental bookings these cheques are only cashed on your return if there are any breakages etc.. It means your £250 is in their bank account for approx 3 months.or more
The complex itself is lovely along with the hotel on the same site, however I cannot recommend apartment 105. It's advertised for 6 people, 1 twin bedroom, 1 room with bunk b

[carolMillett, 27/07/2009] We generally had a very pleasant stay until the day we were leaving and tried to get our deposit back for the 3 beach towels we had hired and were told this was not possible. We had paid 10 euros each so 30 euros in total for 3 towels, directly to the member of staff in the beach hut near the pool area, which we believed to be the normal procedure, we were not told any differently. On returning the towels and trying to retrieve of 30 euros we were told this was not possible as we should have paid at the reception desk where they hold the deposits. As we had not know this was the case and qu

[jandrioli, 07/07/2009] After writing them e-mails and calling on the phone to confirm everything, they finally gave me a twin room instead of the double room that I had booked. Money back is not an option and their customer care is poor. I'm brazilian and I speak portuguese so the language was really not a problem... anyway, if you can find another hotel to stay at, do so. Breakfast was "OK" although the bread seemed a bit old and the coffee / chocolate was very artificial. The room itself was very small and didn't even have enough outlets for us to recharge all our phones.
Overall opinion is that this hotel should b

[jambo32, 26/10/2008] Me and a friend stayed in the frentomar hotel sept15th-22nd 2008 we had a great time albufiera old town is the bizz plenty to do. [jambo31, 04/10/2008] i stayed here in sept 08 everything about this place is great staff very friendly and helpful great location already booked for sept 09 cant wait to go back!
[shania28, 24/07/2008] Friendly staff, excellent location if you don't want to be in the thick of it but yet not too far away if you a little more going on. Breakfast very good. Don't pay for half board as they only show you the basic tourist menu whilst everyone else sees the full menu. Food is generally good as is service. The only downfall the CPO has had for me is that it's a bit like a lucky dip. I have stayed four or five times now and have stayed in a beautiful 1 bed apartment with sea view. I stayed in a studio for 2 which was really quite large, then I stayed in a studio which overlooked the side of t

[ellge, 21/07/2008] We do not agree with other reviewer as we stayed there and enjoy the hotel and the good service we got.
[zoearnold, 24/05/2008] Not suitable for young families, Stairs everywhere!, Staff rude and unhelpful
[jessieleo, 30/09/2007] Zoomarine is what would probably be called a Theme Park . However it is small compared to some , features living creatures more than fun-rides and , for me , was one of the highlights of a recent holiday to Portugal. We stayed in Albufeira on The Algarve which is the Southern coast of Portugal . Zoomarine was about a 10 minute coach ride from Albufeira .
BOOKING
You can book a visit through most of the local hotels and travel agents , book on-line or just pay an entrance fee on the day . We booked through our hotel ,and paid a little more to include the transport there and back .

[jessieleo, 30/09/2007] When you read the review you will realise II will not be recommending this hotel. It is NOT a 4 star hotel. Despite it being near the end of the Hotel's Summer Season it should have been able to maintain a better standard. Anyway there are much better Hotels available.
If you get a late deal cheap price it may be worth taking a chance as you might get a better room. However if they give you the key for room 211 give them it back !
