There are not a lot of lodging alternatives in Penedo. We stayed downtown at the modernistic São Francisco Hotel in one of their comfortable renovated rooms with good views of the city and river located at Av. Floriano Peixoto, 237, Centro Histórico, Penedo-Al, (82) 3551-2273. What must have been a real luxury hotel when the city was in its commercial hay day in the 50's and 60's, today is a clean, but simple hotel that doesn't match the style of the historical, cultural attraction of Penedo.
