[Mikesh, 03/11/2011] A must see, but don't expect too much as people go with very high expectations and get disappointed. It is an architectural marvel but it could have been maintained better. They have tour guides to explain everything and also people outside the main building taking pictures where you can act like you are touching the top of the Taj. Though photography is prohibited in the main building which is where they are buried but people still take pictures. Specially inside the main building people should be careful of pick pocketers.

Sikandra is just outside Agra in Utter Pradesh and is the resting place of the Emperor Akbar. Akbar was one of the most successful of the Mogul emperors to have ruled India and was quite cultured in his tastes enjoying beautiful art and all things of beauty. He was interested in philosophy, literature and was a great debater. He was born in 1542 his father being the Emperor Humayun and when his father died he became Emperor at the young age of 13. [akzephyr07, 26/06/2010] We spent two days at this luxurious hotel. After traveling through India staying at 5 star hotels, this hotel was truly, truly 5 stars. From the minute we checked in, the staff was amazing. We had the privilege of staying in a suite and it was breath taking. The room was fantastic - very elgantly done up with cosy sitting areas & a lovely view of the lush gardens. The property is huge and has a world class spa called Kaya Kalp. A day at this spa is a must if you are in Agra! Its an award winning spa and rightfully so. Do try the Indian food at Peshawri & you'll become a fan of this cuisine fo

[AndrewPo, 12/09/2008] The Taj View Hotel only really had one very positive attribute, which was that we really could see the Taj Mahal from the bedroom. Just. Through the smog, The Taj Mahal was visible, peaking out from behind some rather less attractive buildings. While the Taj Mahal is quite a long distance away and the air-quality poor enough to restrict vision a little, it is still very pleasant to see this magical sight from the bedroom, although of course it is not visible from all rooms.
All other facilities at the hotel were adequate rather than outstanding, but then the reason to come to Agra are to see
