My Italian Cooking Holiday Experience

My partner and I have just returned from my first ever cooking holiday. It was a great experience. I was really pleasantly surprized as I am not really into cooking at all, but this holiday was much more than just being in the kitchen. We were well looked after by the Australian/Italian couple, Guido and Sally, who run these holidays. Housed in a beautifully renovated home within the medieval walls of a hilltop village called Toffia. We were taken on excursions, toured around an olive grove, lead around the back streets of Rome, sampled local wines and had some amazing food. There was plenty of time to relax and lots of time learning how to cook, italian style! Overall a fabulous experience and one I will remember with a smile. My only complaint is that I ate too much!! I don't know if I can put in their website but if I can, it is www.conviviorome.com .

    Budget Friendliness
  • It was easy to get to our destination as we were picked up from and returned to Rome Ciampino airport. 'Must see' as I thought it was amazing how unspoilt and beautiful the Sabina countryside was. Very unknown therefore a rarity in Italy. Very reasonably priced compared to what Convivio Rome offered for the price.Sally and Guido, the owners and organisers, plus the other locals that helped out and toured us around where all friendly, helpful and passionate about what they were doing. Refreshing!
